The Karo company is located in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, Bytów County, in the Lipnica Commune. We have been operating since 1994. We currently employ approximately 200 people.
Since the beginning of the company's existence, we have been producing broadly understood garden accessories. Our product range includes various types of fences, trellises, rollboards, hammered fences, stakes, platforms, flower pots and more. We sell our products throughout Europe in the amount of approximately 1,500 trucks of finished products per year. Export accounts for 90% of the company's total production.
We have been working in a new plant since 2007, which significantly increases our production capacity. The company covers an area of approximately 10 ha, which allows us to store approximately 200 trucks of finished goods.
We have modern technological lines and woodworking machines. Our products are characterized by very high quality in terms of production and impregnation. We also sell high-quality pine bark packed in 80-liter bags and loose in various fractions.
To ensure high quality and durability, all our products are pressure impregnated with the chrome-free ecological agent Korasit KS2 in our own modern autoclave in green, brown and gray colors.
The company has a modern dryer from 2023 with a feed capacity of 49 m3 and a feed length of 6 m. The dryer is fully automatic. All processes are controlled by software from the Czech company KATRES, thanks to which the dried material does not crack or deform. The drying process is automatically controlled by the MK-520 regulation system, which operates based on the analysis of the read parameters and is based on the reading of two parameters: temperature and wood humidity, which also allows us to impregnate class 4 products.
The wood used for production comes mainly from the State Forests, from certified suppliers. Our company is systematically subjected to various audits, resulting in quality certificates. We have PEFC TM certified since 2013.
We also conduct a SMETA 2P audit - this is an audit methodology ensuring compliance with best ethical practices. It covers the Sedex pillars of work, health and safety, environment and business ethics.
We are a creative company, open to current market needs. We focus on development and continuous improvement so that our products meet the needs of our customers even better. We are happy to take their opinions into account and introduce new products into production.
